memories. To the left of the school is the old Black Smiths. This was a busy business
and was fun to watch as hot metal was hammered into horse shoes or metal gates. I think many of us got a first feel into engineering from these early days. The school was located on Amherst hill in Riverhead opposite the Amherst Hotel, now called the Harvesters Restaurant. |
